What the AUG3PT is

This is Bobcat's three-point post hole auger for compact tractors. It mounts to the tractor's rear three-point hitch and is driven by the PTO, which means the tractor supplies the power rather than you supplying it with a hand auger or a two-person unit.

Who ends up buying one

Anyone who has fenced a property by hand buys one of these the second time. Fencing, gate posts, sign posts, deck footings, and tree planting all become tractor work. For a property with any real fence line, the auger typically pays for itself against the cost of hiring the digging out.
