What a tine rake does that a blade cannot

A tine rake uses spaced teeth rather than a solid blade, so soil passes through while rocks, roots, brush, and debris are collected and carried. A blade pushes everything together into one pile including the dirt. A rake separates the material you want to remove from the ground you want to keep.

Where it gets used
