What an industrial grapple bucket does

A grapple bucket is a bucket with a hydraulic top clamp. Open, it loads loose material like any bucket. Closed, the clamp holds bulky or irregular loads against the bucket floor so they can be carried instead of pushed. That covers brush, debris, scrap, pallets of odd material, and anything that will not stay in an open bucket.

Why it suits a telehandler

Mounted on a VersaHandler, the grapple bucket combines reach and lift height with the ability to grip. That makes it useful for cleanup work at height and for placing material rather than just dumping it, which is a genuinely different capability from a loader on the ground.
